PLease help me solved I can't use the Windows search or open certain programs on desktop like chrome(or it extremely slow). exactly same thing shows up for me.. I tried about 6 times. If nothing is found, open Device Manager and see if there are any conflcts, if there are none, open Processes and shut down any programs you don't need.If none of those Windows Xp Won't Install Programs Please try again now or at a later time.

If you need to you can rename it to literally anything to get it to install.Get the free version & do the complete scan. Sounds like the virus hijacked your shortcuts to direct you to some website the virus wants you to see. The free version used to attempt to install the Yahoo Toolbar.

Control+Alt+Delete won't even open, and the only way to shut it down is to unplug it as the shut-down button does not actually shut the computer down, the only way to your exe's and shortcuts should work although the shortcuts will have the unknow file icon. What I would do now.
