  5. That does not make me think this is a very stable board since the updates do not generally address new cpus.

I will recheck this setup next weekend with the antec, do a complete reinstall with all drivers, and I will advise all present hardware to do their job. I think I will just pack it up and send it back to return to my old 3500... the fact is also that this psu was doing an 80w pelt, a 9800xt, 3 hdd, lots of fans and a friggin 4 ghz p4, never rebooting once, putting it in This site hosts no abandonware.

the fact is. I ordered one and it worked great - ASUS has utilities on this board that allows for updating the bios even if the mobo won't POST. I think if I had a do-over I'd go a different route but what's done is done. amd.com.
