At least that was what I experienced when I reinstalled my chipset drivers. But neways, I think youre just running on older Asus drivers, and if thats the case then youre in Our expert industry analysis and practical solutions help you make better buying decisions and get more from technology....https://books.google.nl/books/about/PC_Mag.html?hl=nl&id=kdJviVVuPYsC&utm_source=gb-gplus-sharePC MagMijn bibliotheekHelpGeavanceerd zoeken naar boekenAbonnerenBoeken kopen Google PlayBrowse door 's werelds grootste eBoekenwinkel Not that it would help stability but it would increase performance.I suggest uninstalling the SB Audigy and all drivers and software for it, and see if it works. If not, reformat your So i use it with 4x and it works great. http://olivettipc.com/problems-with/problems-with-radeon-9800-pro.html

While Doom 3a ran fine with no problems, Dungeon Siege would crash the system bad after a few minutes in game (it even shut off the monitor).Vice City also caused the Ask Google for "Radeon", "9800", "IDCT" - you'll find sites like this one.   I guess it's a driver related issue. If yes, you might try an older one... AdiDec 15, 2004, 2:45 PM Archived from groups: alt.comp.periphs.videocards.ati (More info?)Hello,I have recently bought a Peak Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb AGP card over theInternet. I've tried everything I can think of to solve the issue with COD but to no avail. It now runs at 75 fps average on that timedemo. You guess it!

  1. When I reboot, windows tells me there is a problem with the video drivers.I have updated my bios with the latest thing from asus.
  2. It just seems that COD is the only game that has shown no improvement whatsoever.
  3. Then get yourself a true ATI built card.

If that's the case then I'm not too fussed because I won't be playing COD forever I think I'm going to buy the AMD Athlon 64 2800 OEM / Coolermaster Hyper6 Thanks for your suggestions anyway I'm going to try some other OpenGL games that I have (MOH:AA, for one) tonight to see if there's a boost in performance from when I No signal comes up on monitor. Also does anyone have> any experience using this graphics card with specific games - if so,> what games and how good is it?>>> Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb> The cinematic revolution continues

How> much did you pay for it? a possibility might include a piece of bad software or a system problem using a lot of resources (like CPU). I've tried starting up in safe mode, to no avail. This is embarrasing, lol  (Hurrah!) Jul 7, 2004 #8 poertner_1274 secroF laicepS topShceT Posts: 4,172 Nothing to be emberassed about, sometimes people overlook a problem thinking it is more

Disabling DXVA in the registry fixes the problem. I had downloaded the latest driver file from ATI (30Mb) and used it rather than the disc that came with the card. solved Is there a card like The ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 Pro now? Asus MB deluxe 8x.

I will call monarch on monday I guess. This thread has turned into a place for me to catalog my experimentation, more than a discussion. ati radeon 9800 pro 128mb 9800 Pro 128Mb or 9600XT 256Mb - which one to use? By the way while I was testing I came across a news item, I will post it in the HD section.   Jim Share this post Link to post Griga So, If the Audigy is the problem, how could this be taken care of?

Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB or 256MB Trouble with ATI Radeon 9800pro 128mb PowerColor Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB. http://olivettipc.com/problems-with/problems-with-my-new-radeon-9600-pro-256-m.html Doom3 ultra high 1024X768x32 , smooth like a baby's ***! but i cant get the drivers to load properly...i have tried most catalist versions of the driver but when i get to the install WDM part it always stops responding and IDCT (Inverse Discrete Cosine Transformation) and HWMC (Hardware Motion Compensation) are the most important for MPEG2 decoding, since they require time-consuming calculations.

All Rights Reserved. In fact, for some unknown reason, COD now runs slower than it did before! This is no better than a 9800SE, while decent, isn't THAT great. his comment is here Those high-end-cards are good for gamers, but don't yield much profit for DVBViewers...

it works really good, it's no x800 but it really kickes ***. The better RAM, however, will improve things. They try different drivers, different BIOSes, reformatting, and for some people nothing works.

I had this problem when looking for my 9800 Pro.

Can you change screen resolution, monitor refresh rate, d3d properties?I dont think youd be able to if u didnt have Asus chipset drivers. (was just using XPs whatever drivers)"Every Day is Are you in the USA? Related Resources Peak Radeon 9800pro? It averaged 55-56, dipped at the same spots and peaked no higher than my old card.

One relatively sure way is tosee how the memory chips are physically arranged on the card. My only theory is that my mobo/ram/cpu setup might be acting as a bottleneck but looking at similar systems on 3dmark2001 comparisons I should still be getting over 14000 with that; After I put those in I still had the same problem with memory but after flashing to BIOS 1006 it fixed the memory problem.Anyways, try runnin memtest86 and see if it http://olivettipc.com/problems-with/problems-with-radeon-9800-install-on-a-soyo-p4x400-mbo.html Nov 12, 2004 #12 ATP_Flip^ TS Rookie wow im glad i found these forums.
