In the DETAILS box, NSR is correctly displaying the restore point from Drive L, the computer name, and Drive: C and correctly identifying that as 233GB NTFS.

I miss this machine; I did a  ton of work on it. That option is greyed out on my G12 as well, and I don't have File and Folder backups defined either; just image backups. But it looks like I'm dead in the water. I've put up with Ad-Watch crashes, extreme slow-downs, and many unexplained problems for months and months. It is unlikely that I'm losing the backup file on the external drive. Thanks for the suggested link - looks promising! Not subtle either. Since the red drive light has been on for 2 1/2 days (unblinking tho), I've been assuming there's nothing wrong with the drive. A back-up is just a copy.
