Problem With File Sharing Between Xp Pro And A Win2k Machine

Worth mentioning, my 2 puters workgroups were set to different names. Just got my nephew a new Win 7 laptop and wanted to share 9GB of all my old mp3's. At forst that was not enaf and i still got the error, but i runed network setup wizard and who-al-a, i can connect to xp machine and its shares. When i click "connect" like you recommend, I get an "access is denied" error even though it is set to share on the XP machine. http://olivettipc.com/problem-with/problem-with-win2k-server.html

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa.There will be a value called LmCompatibilityLevel. That is the last resort I use if for some reason one of the machines on my LAN isn't showing up in the network browser. After finding that solution, everything else worked. It would be very helpful if the author of this page would update it so that the shared folder is NOT in a sub-directory of the already shared public files but Hooked up the old printer to it, found a good enough driver.
